Is there an application fee?
Applicants pay a non-refundable application fee calculated from identity-verification and document-signing costs. The exact total is shown before checkout and increases for each additional person who requires verification. Landlord, agency, legal, deposit, and service-charge amounts are separate.
Can tenants pay rent online?
Yes. Tenants can pay securely using cards or Nigerian bank transfers. Every payment includes a receipt.
Can I verify tenants with NIN?
Yes. PropPortal supports tenant identity verification workflows, including secure NIN checks.
Does PropPortal support yearly rent?
Yes. PropPortal supports annual rent, monthly rent, service charges, deposits, lease renewals, and payment records.
How do landlord payouts work?
Rent can be connected to verified payout accounts so landlords receive funds while fees and records stay organized.
Can I manage multiple properties?

Can I add tenants who already live in my units?
Yes. On every plan you can onboard an existing tenant to a vacant unit without a full application. If they prepaid rent before PropPortal, check “Tenant already paid rent offline” and set rent paid through — only that rent period is credited; caution and other fees are still paid online.
Can I export reports for my accountant?
Yes. Reports cover rent collection, expenses, owner statements, and operational records.
Are there hidden fees on rent payments?
Subscriptions carry no PropPortal booking commission. Short-Stay Flex instead deducts a disclosed percentage from completed direct bookings. Growth and above include short-stay tools at 0% PropPortal commission.
How does PropPortal handle suspicious-property evidence?
Renters can report suspicious properties without a reporting fee. Uploaded evidence is quarantined and malware-scanned before authorized PropPortal staff can download it for review.
Do I need to install an app?
No App Store or Play Store download is required for landlords, property managers, or tenants — PropPortal runs in the browser. For one-tap access like an app, save it to your home screen:
